How Much Does Car Grooming Cost in Hamilton?
The honest pricing breakdown for car grooming in Hamilton. Quick top wash through to extreme reconditioning, with what each tier actually includes.
If you have searched “car grooming Hamilton” recently, you have probably noticed prices everywhere from $30 to $1,500. Here is the honest breakdown of what those numbers actually buy.
The five tiers we offer
We run five clearly priced packages so you only pay for what your car actually needs.
Quick Top Wash: from $35
A 15 to 45 minute exterior freshen-up. High-pressure wash, shampoo, tyre clean and shine, exterior windows wipe, dashboard wipe down. This is the right call for cars you washed properly last month and want a quick reset before a weekend or business meeting.
Interior Groom: from $100
An interior-only deep clean that comes in three tiers. Basic ($100) covers a quick vacuum, interior dressing, and inside glass. Ultimate ($150) steps up to a deep vacuum, premium dressing, air freshener, welcome mat, and a quick pet hair removal. Extreme ($200) adds a detailed vacuum, upholstery and mats shampoo, vents cleaning, and a deep pet hair removal. This is our most-booked package for daily commuters who want the cabin spotless.
Full Grooming: from $150
Three to four-and-a-half hours. A full interior plus engine bay cleaning, mag wheel deep clean, wax coat protection, trim corners detail, and underhood cleaning. This is the package we recommend for cars more than a year old, or for anyone who wants a real reset.
Ultimate Detailing: from $250
Four to seven-and-a-half hours. Everything in Full plus ceramic shampoo, steam cleaning, upholstery shampoo, pet hair removal, and air freshener. This is for cars you actually love, or cars that need rescuing from heavy use.
Extreme Reconditioning: from $499
Five-and-a-half to nine hours. Everything in Ultimate plus paint rejuvenation, headlight restoration, watermark removal, engine bay coating, and exterior trim protection. This is the deep recovery package for tired or older cars.
What about ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating starts at $700 for a single coat on a car and scales with vehicle size and the number of coats. Add paint correction first if the existing paint needs it. Cut and polish (paint correction without ceramic) starts from $150 for smaller cars.
Why prices vary by vehicle size
A hatchback uses less product, takes less time, and has less surface area than a 4WD or van. Pricing scales with vehicle size across four tiers: Car (hatch and sedan), SUV (ute and 4WD), Van (2 to 7 seater), and Van Plus (8+ seat and campervans). The headline price above is the starting price; we confirm the exact figure when we see the vehicle.
Why the cheap car wash down the road is not actually cheaper
A $20 drive-through car wash leaves swirl marks. A $30 hand wash from a part-time operator skips engine bay, mag wheels, and interior polish. The $35 Quick Top Wash here is genuinely cheaper than competing options once you factor in the consistent quality and the fact that you are not slowly damaging the clear coat.
For long-term cost, the maths is even more obvious. A car that gets a Full Grooming twice a year holds its paint condition far better than one that gets washed weekly at the petrol station. Resale value at year five reflects this.
What to book if you have never had a car groomed
Most first-time customers go for Interior Groom for daily cars or Full Grooming for the family wagon. If your car is older than five years, Ultimate Detailing or Extreme Reconditioning is usually a better starting point. We are happy to help pick the right package. Call us or book online and we will confirm.
